Artist Bio

Michael Van Impe has been exploring sound and music for over 30 years. At age 14, he modified a tape recorder to create multitrack recordings, beginning his journey with modest Casio keyboards before upgrading to a Korg Poly-800.

Michael's music weaves complex soundscapes, shaped by a life spent traveling, living in cities like St. Petersburg, Cape Town, Istanbul, and Tokyo. This nomadic spirit inspired his debut album, "Time Travel" (2020), a meditation on time, space, and human limits.

His second album, influenced by the 58th Venice Biennale "May You Live in Interesting Times," (2021) explores life in volatile, uncertain, and complex realities. Two deeply personal tracks pay tribute to Julie Van Espen, whose tragic murder in 2019 underscored failures in Belgium's justice system. "Missing Girl in a Lost Country" and "Last Ping to Cell" reflect both sorrow and resilience.

His latest album, Triskelion (2026), emerged from a more personal period of reflection. After an intense chapter in his professional life and difficult events within his family, Michael returned to his home studio at the end of 2024. Opening his studio logbook, he realised that he had not written a single note in two years. He had remained busy, but had lost touch with creativity, family, and the life unfolding around him. In 2025, he chose to slow down. Studying art history renewed his creative energy. From that period came Triskelion, an album about loss, movement, transformation, and the gradual return to what matters. The singles In Lumine Tuo and End with Love introduce the album's reflective and cinematic sound.

Artist Bio

Mik Vion is an avant-garde electronic music producer operating at the outer edges of contemporary dance music. Emerging from the underground EDM scene, he has spent years experimenting with unconventional rhythms, distorted textures and immersive electronic soundscapes, developing a style that resists easy categorisation.

His music draws on elements of techno, ambient, electro, industrial and experimental club music. Rather than following established formulas, Mik Vion approaches each track as a sonic construction: fragmented beats, evolving synthesizer patterns and unexpected shifts are combined to create music that is both physical and cerebral.

Working largely outside the commercial mainstream, his work reflects the raw energy of late-night clubs, improvised studio sessions and the constant reinvention that defines electronic music culture.

Now represented by Art Street Records, Mik Vion is bringing this experimental mindset into a new phase. His upcoming work explores the space between dance-floor momentum and abstract composition, creating music that can move a crowd while challenging the listener.
